Meeting of the Land Register Interconnection Expert Group

LRI Expert Group Meeting in Brussels, 23 May 2018

On 23 May 2018 The LRI (Land Register Interconnection) Expert Group Meeting was held in Brussels. The partners of the LRI MS Connection project were attending the Meeting. The representative of Austria, Mr. Johann Kickinger delivered a presentation of the on-going activities and preliminary results of the project (slides in pdf). Ms. Katri Tammsaar, the representative of the other project partner Estonia, presented the audience with an overview of the recently launched project web-site at the address www.lri-ms.eu.

Mr. Kickinger explained to the participants of the LRI Expert Group Meeting the possible alternative process flows (slides in pdf) for connecting the national land register search facilities with the respective services at the European e-Justice portal. In addition, he presented the list of user roles, which had been emerged as a result of the service design process conducted earlier in May by the project partners.  He also highlighted the challenges hidden in the professional user authorisation process, which the project partners are currently tackling in the process of designing a standard solution suitable to both partners and hopefully in the long run also for other member states of the EU.

The hosts of the Expert Meeting Group presented the completed and ongoing work done so far on he LRI service development. Mr. Gösta Petri, Mr. Gabriel Sima and Mr. Alexander Ivantchev, all representing the European Commission’s DG Justice and Consumers, presented to the audience the LRI project status and ongoing actions for the development of the payment solution, invoicing and tax calculation modules, as well as the means for auhentication and authorisation of professional users. Mr. Sima also delivered a system demo of the Land Registers Interconnection and presented an overview of the envisioned payment solution.
